Hugh and Sherry McGowan are the owners of both the Visiting Angels Crystal Lake and Barrington branches. Having cared for a senior loved one of their own, the McGowans have first hand experience of the challenges, questions, and concerns that families often face when it comes to senior care. They know what it’s like when you have to put your personal time and emotional wellbeing on hold. Because of this experience, it is important to them that families feel supported and know that they do not have to go through this journey alone.

With a visiting ‘Angel’, you can receive professional care in your home or wherever you call home. Below are a few types of senior care we provide:
In-home personal care - receive professional non-medical care and assistance in the comfort of your own home. In-home caregivers can assist with personal hygiene, fall prevention and safety, companionship and more.
Specialized care - with ongoing training, our team of Angel caregivers are properly equipped to accommodate those who suffer from chronic conditions or illnesses such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, or stroke.
Care outside the home - receive personal caregiver visits for those who reside at assisted living facilities or nursing homes. With a personal caregiver checking in, you can ensure that your senior loved one is receiving the one-on-one care, attention, and social interaction they need and deserve.
