I want to say thank you for all the wonderful help your caregiver gave me. After Visiting Angels took over, within two days I was walking down the stairs with the caregiver’s help (we’re on the second floor of a condo). He had me walking to the clubhouse almost every other day in the three weeks he was here. He was a great help, taking us to the doctors’ offices (and there were a lot of them) in that time period. All the help he also gave my wife was unbelievable! He did dishes, made beds, etc., and helped me with showers, getting ready for bed, shaving, and also even cut my hair. I was completely helpless until Visiting Angels took over my care. It’s like a miracle! Now I go out to eat, play cards, and go to Bingo with my wife, and even got into the pool with oxygen one time. My wife wants to say that without Visiting Angels help, she could have never managed on her own, and she said I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I agree.
Thank you Visiting Angels!

I can't say enough about Visiting Angels. My husband and I spend the winters in Florida. He was dealing with stage IV lung cancer. I finally realized I couldn't care for him by myself. It was a 24/7 job. My daughter found Visiting Angels online and gave them my information. I received a call within half an hour. After an interview, they matched my husband with a wonderful caregiver. A true angel to help us. This allowed me to keep him at home instead of a nursing facility. Thank you Visiting Angels.

To our instant family,
Thanks is just not a strong enough word to express my and my son's gratitude for making my mom's last days as enjoyable as they were!

Our family lives far from our Dad’s home in Southwest Florida. A friend of ours is a Visiting Angel, so it was natural for us to turn to them when Dad needed help with his daily living activities. What we didn’t know was how carefully the Visiting Angels check the backgrounds of their caregivers. Anyone working in Dad’s home had to be someone he would have invited into his home—and all the Visiting Angels caregivers were.
From the moment the manager walked in, her kindness and interest were obvious. She immediately had helpful—and tactfully offered—suggestions to improve Dad’s comfort and health. She did a thorough evaluation of Dad’s needs and a couple of days later, he had a wonderful person to assist him at home a few days a week. The Angel even volunteered to drive Dad to his doctor’s office when it was clear he needed additional help to express his needs.
When a sudden change in Dad’s health made 24-hour care necessary, Visiting Angels were there around the clock and within a day. Dad still has nothing but praise for the “good guy” who helped him all day long, assisting him to dress, taking him shopping and to the bank, and—very important to Dad—listening to his stories. And the rest of the family has nothing but praise for the Visiting Angels organization, since we knew Dad was in such capable and supportive hands.
Eventually, we had to move Dad closer to our family. Recently, he was amazed and delighted to get a letter from the people who had made his final weeks in Florida so much more pleasant, easier, and safer. A million thanks to all you Florida Visiting Angels!
