Dave Clendenen- Director
Dave has small business ownership experience but his strengths come from 20 years of leadership in Christian ministry. Those years were focused on serving others and meeting needs. He brings great compassion and a strong desire to serve. Dave has completed training through the Dementia Care Professionals of America, a division of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, to be certified as a Dementia Care Specialist and he has previously served as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).

Kristie Moore- Assistant Director
Kristie has been with Visiting Angels since its inception in Fort Wayne serving as a caregiver, scheduler, marketer, and now as Assistant Director. She truly knows and appreciates all aspects of the day-to-day operation as well as the role of our caregivers and the needs of those they serve. Kristie is also active in the community providing education about the services provided by Visiting Angels.

Melinda Vasquez- Client Care Manager
Melinda has been serving seniors since she was 14 years old. Her first job was in a nursing home and she has continued to work and volunteer with those in need of care ever since. Furthermore, she completed training to receive her Certified Nursing Assistant license and Associates degree in Occupational Therapy. On a personal level, for 3 years Melinda cared for her mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. Those experiences led her to become a Caregiver with us in 2013.

Megan Sheley- Client Care Manager
Megan has several years of caregiving experience, and also worked at Walt Disney World where she received that special Disney training that focuses on quality customer service. She has a passion for serving others and is a Certified Emergency Medical Technician. She has been a caregiver with Visiting Angels since December 2014, and joined the office team in early 2017. Megan still serves part-time in the field as a caregiver which gives her insight and hands-on understanding of our clients and our caregivers.

Breanna Putt – Client Care Manager
Breanna has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in public affairs with a major in both health administration and criminal justice while minoring in public affairs. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in general studies with a minor in economics. Her experiences as a caregiver first started in 2010 when she was caring for her grandmother who was suffering from Cancer. In January 2014 she started as a caregiver with Visiting Angels before transitioning into the office March 2017.

Jim Burns- Business Manager
Jim is the visionary who saw the need for Visiting Angels in the Fort Wayne area and he was instrumental in getting our services started. Jim currently owns, and is very busy managing, several unrelated business and doesn’t actively participate in the day-to-day operations at Visiting Angels. However, he is still very involved in our vision and business accountability. His accounting background and strong business experience insures that Visiting Angels will operate with utmost integrity.

Sue Burns- Executive Bookkeeper
Sue’s expertise extends far beyond just bookkeeping. Her exceptional talent for organizing business systems and establishing sound financial management practices were key at the inception of our local office. She continues to regularly review financial matters to insure accuracy and compliance in all areas related to billing, payroll, insurance, and taxes.

Beth Clendenen RN – Healthcare Advisor
Beth has served as an RN at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for over 40 years. Her healthcare experience includes years in the Emergency Department, Employee Health Services, and Pediatric Oncology. On occasion she has stepped in to serve as a caregiver but her primary and most important role is that of our Healthcare Advisor and is available to assist in any situation that requires her unique expertise.
