Certified Palliative Care
Visiting Angels' Certified Palliative Care improves quality of life by focusing on physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. This sophisticated program goes well beyond what some think of when they hear the term palliative care. We provide customized assistance and comfort regardless of life expectancy.
It is very common to use the terms “palliative care” and “hospice care” interchangeably. More accurately, these are different types of care.
Palliative care and hospice care have many similarities. At their core, both seek to relieve discomfort and improve overall quality of life. Hospice care is traditionally implemented for those who are nearing the end of life. Typically, palliative care is for anyone who needs care focused on their comfort and well-being, regardless of their life expectancy.
At Visiting Angels®, our Certified Palliative Care program is rooted in this traditional model of palliative care. Our goal is to enrich quality of life for all clients through specialized, non-medical care and assistance.
What is the Certified Palliative Care Program at Visiting Angels?
Certified Palliative Care is an integral part of the program we call our Life Care Navigation™ This is a collection of senior care services offered by Visiting Angels of Hoschton.
