Visiting Angels^® Michiana provides in home memory care to the Michiana community.  Our memory care program is personalized, and comprehensive.  Through the use of our services, clients can continue to experience a meaningful, safe, and connected environment in the comfort of their own home.  

At Visiting Angels, we understand that dementia affects the client's entire support system, including all loved ones who provide physical and emotional care.  In recognition of this, we offer educational support services for families and care coaching for all caregivers.  

Memory Care Services for Michiana

Visiting Angel's comprehensive memory care services are designed to meet the needs of the client and the family.  We realize that providing a caregiver for cognitive supervision only addresses part of families needs.  Our services include:

Home safety evaluation and remediation plan

Functional Assessment

Cognitive Assessment including staging of dementia (staging will help inform caregiver communication and care strategies)

Reevaluation of cognition every six months or as needed

In depth social history to inform a meaningful care plan

Comprehensive and personalized care plans

Education and coaching support to families by a Memory Care Specialist

Care coaching and ongoing training to our caregivers by a Memory Care Specialist

Meal preparation

Light housekeeping

Transportation to appointments and errands or events

Assistance with personal care and hygiene

In depth in person and virtual training in memory care for all our care givers
