Types Of Caregiving Services
At Visiting Angels, we offer various at-home caregiving services, all of which are customizable to meet the needs of each client.
Companion Care
Our most popular caregiving service at Visiting Angels is companion care. As the name suggests, companion care primarily focuses on providing clients with companionship. Our caregivers engage in activities their clients enjoy while assisting with basic household tasks like light housekeeping and cooking. Companion care is ideal for clients who can care for themselves but require general assistance with daily living activities.
Personal Care
Personal care is similar to companion care but offers hands-on assistance. Caregivers can help with mobility, grooming, dressing, showering, and toileting. Clients who request personal care may live alone or with another aging loved one and require assistance to remain safe and independent at home.
Transitional Care
When a senior is admitted into the hospital, their chance of readmission tends to increase with age. Transitional care aims to reduce readmission by assisting seniors from the hospital to their homes. Transitional care starts in the hospital, working with clients’ healthcare team to ensure they have what they need for recovery. Caregivers then stay with clients during recovery to provide medication reminders and transportation to follow-up appointments. Caregivers can also help with household tasks so clients can focus on resting.
Dementia Care
Dementia care is specialized memory care for clients with any form of dementia, including Alzheimer’s.
