How We Make At-Home Care Affordable for Veterans in Raleigh, NC and Surrounding Areas

At Visiting Angels of Raleigh, we understand that the cost of at-home care can be a concern for many families in Wake County. That's why we are proud to accept Aid & Attendance benefits to cover the costs of our services. In addition, we're a proud member of the VA Community Care Network, allowing veterans to seek the support they need from Visiting Angels when their local VA facility is unable to provide it.

Understanding Aid & Attendance Benefits

Aid & Attendance is available to veterans and surviving spouses who require the assistance of another person to perform daily tasks due to a disability or chronic illness. These benefits can be added to the pension your loved one already receives from the Veterans Administration and can make the cost of professional at-home care more affordable.

To qualify for Aid & Attendance benefits, veterans must have served in the military for at least 90 days, with at least one day during a period of war. They must also be bedridden, require assistance with Activities of Daily Living, or have specific vision limitations.

Our team at Visiting Angels of Raleigh can help guide your loved one through the application process and provide any necessary documentation.

Learn About the VA Community Care Network

As a member of the VA Community Care Network, Visiting Angels of Raleigh is able to provide the at-home care we've been known for since we first opened our doors 25 years ago to elderly veterans, who can use their VA benefits to cover the costs of our services. Veterans of a certain age in Raleigh and surrounding areas may benefit greatly from this, especially if the care they need isn't immediately accessible at their local VA facility. Veterans may access a wide range of services via the Community Care Network, and they can use their VA coverage to cover the costs.

Community Care Network services are only available to veterans who have received a recommendation from a VA practitioner. Referral requests may be sent to either your loved one's VA doctor or the Care Coordination department within the VA. Visiting Angels of Raleigh is one of several providers that veterans in Wake County can choose from after receiving a referral.
