Local St. Charles Caregiver Named Finalist for National Award
Visiting Angels, the nation’s leading provider of in-home senior care, announces Kelly Bopp of St. Charles, Missouri, as one of the 10 semi-finalists for its prestigious National Caregiver of the Year award.
Kelly Bopp joined Visiting Angels St. Charles more than seven years ago and has provided nearly 14,000 hours of care. In that time, Kelly has taken the initiative to support clients and their families with many needs. She delivers exceptional care, making every client feel like they’re her number one priority. She’ll bake with her clients, working with them on their fine motor skills. Then, together, they’ll bring the treats to the office so her clients can enjoy some time outside the house.
“Kelly makes sure clients have everything they need to stay safely in their home and bringing joy through baking, shows her true genuine care and concern for her clients,” said Judy Snyder, owner of Visiting Angels St. Charles.
Clients describe Kelly as having a heart of gold and the patience of an angel. When a family didn’t believe it was possible to get their loved one to church, Kelly made sure it happened. She tracked down a wheelchair they could use to transport him into the building.
“Kelly doesn’t just care for my husband; she’s transformed our lives for the better,” said Yvonne, the wife of a Visiting Angels client. She provides me with the peace of mind to leave the house and enjoy running errands. Without her, I feel rushed to get back to my husband. When my family needs her the most, she’s there with a heart full of compassion and hands ready to support us.”
Kelly’s heart for service goes beyond Visiting Angels, as she’s involved with several local charities. She spends hours helping a fellow caregiver with her charity by creating baskets.
Visiting Angels’ National Caregiver of the Year Award celebrates the extraordinary contributions of caregivers who go above and beyond to provide care for their senior clients and their families. The semi-finalists were selected from entries throughout the nationwide Visiting Angels franchise locations. The caregivers nominated embody Visiting Angels’ compassionate values and demonstrate excellence through the quality care they provide.

Visiting Angels will announce the Caregiver of the Year winner at its annual conference in June. The winner will receive a $5,000 prize, and two finalists will each receive a check for $2,500.
