There are a number of senior centers throughout different parts of the Minneapolis, MN area. For those in the southern neighborhoods, there is the Sabathani Community Center. Here they host a number of events and programs for seniors, ages 55+, such as card groups, the Royal Red Hat Sabathanettes, a walking club, regular matinees and much more! For those closer to the downtown area of Minneapolis, visit The Magnet. This senior center, run by both Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Minneapolis Central Library, hosts a variety of events. Aging adults are invited to gather and engage in their health and wellness programs, play games, make crafts or just enjoy the company of others. The Minneapolis area has a breadth of opportunity to get outside and enjoy the community. Seniors can enjoy walking around the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on a nice day, or taking in the latest art exhibit at the Walker Art Center.
