After an interview with Mr. Purkiss and the caregiver – she was waiting here in my home when I returned from the care facility. It was the best decision we have made.
Mr. Purkiss has always been caring and stayed in touch with us. He even came to visit me in the hospital when I had a procedure done.
At first I had 24 hour care; however, at the present time we have Cindy here from Monday through Thursday from 8:00 to 6:30 pm. Brenda joins us Friday, Saturday and Sunday – same hours.
These ladies have taken me to the doctor, market, shopping, remind me to take my medicines and remind us both of doctor appointments. They are very caring and kind. They assist in cooking, light cleaning, help me with exercise, bathing, and companionship and even defrosted my outside freezer!!

“Visiting Angels has been an answer to a prayer. We knew Mom would be more comfortable if she could remain in her own home for as long as possible, but as her dementia progressed she began to require help with personal hygiene and motivation to stay healthy. A good friend then told us about Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services.
At our first meeting with Visiting Angels director Bob Purkiss, we carefully went over options for Mom’s are. They were able to tailor Mom’s care to exactly what she needed. The Visiting Angel (amazingly, her name is Angelic) who was assigned to Mom was genuinely caring and gentle. Her positive and uplifting demeanor couldn’t help but bring on a smile. She was a perfect match for Mom. Her faithful and diligent care for Mom gave us peace of mind knowing her “angel” would treat her with compassion, patience and dignity.
We really appreciated how Visiting Angels worked with us. Even when we had to change the days and adjust the times, their concern was always for Mon’s well-being and not what was convenient for them.
