How Do Veterans Benefits Work?

Here’s how each program works:
- Aid and Attendance benefits: If they need help with daily activities, live in a nursing home, are bed-bound, or have limited eyesight, veterans who receive a VA pension may also qualify for Aid and Attendance benefits. Veterans may qualify for “Housebound” benefits if they need to spend most of their time at home due to a permanent disability. In most cases, benefits are added directly to the veteran’s pension.
- Community Care Network benefits: Veterans who qualify for Community Care Network benefits will be assigned to a service care coordinator, who will determine how many hours per week the veteran requires care and will help the family connect with caregivers in their area. Qualified veterans may be eligible for assistance with home-health care costs. Community Care Network benefits are paid directly to partner organizations, rather than being added to the pension.

Customer Review
We made use of visiting angels when my dad experienced delirium after surgery. The providers were available on short notice and were caring and professional. They provided the needed redirection and assistance overnight that the hospital and nursing home could not. We were all very pleased
