Trivia Night at East Village Place

Trivia at East Village Place in East Longmeadow was a fantastic night for Visiting Angels West Springfield! On Thursday, November 9, office staff Lauren and Carla hosted this fun event with residents of East Village Place and their families. It was a fun evening of games and an opportunity to inform the East Longmeadow community about our organization.

The event consisted of three rounds of trivia hosted by Lauren: the 60s, fun facts through the decades, and 30s-70s Disney trivia. Prize baskets were awarded to the top three placing teams. Visiting Angels West Springfield wrapped up the night with a brief presentation about who we are as an organization. Lauren and Carla detailed the wide arrange of services that we have to offer, including those beyond basic homecare, such as providing additional care to loved ones in nursing homes by assisting the CNAs.

A current goal of ours is to spread awareness of the VA Aid and Assistance program and the VA Homemaker & Home Health Aide Care program. These programs, through the Department of Veteran Affairs, provide financial assistance and access to specialized homecare services. By meeting the necessary requirements, veterans could receive in-home services from the Visiting Angels West Springfield rather than entering a facility.

The evening was a fantastic way to make relationships within the community and spread the word about all that the Visiting Angels West Springfield has to offer to clients and their families.
