SUSAN KAHLAU, CEO and Owner of Visiting Angels Forty Fort, Scranton and Lewisburg Offices, is a graduate of Bloomsburg University. Susan has spent the last 16 years helping to improve the quality of life for seniors both in the community and in the home by focusing on providing the highest quality of care and accountability. The goal of her business is to build long relationships between families and their caregivers. This results in improved quality of life among seniors and a healthier work-life balance among their families.
RENEE, LPN - Director of Operations Renee’s role is to oversee all aspects of Visiting Angels Operations. “My goal is to achieve operational excellence to ensure that our clients’ needs are met and they remain comfortable in their home with a caregiver that meets their individual needs.”Renee is also a nurse and has worked in Healthcare since 2008 when she began her career as an “Angel” with Visiting Angels.
CECILIA - Marketing Liaison Cecilia is an East Stroudsburg University graduate and current cheerleading coach. Cecilia has spent her post graduate years in marketing and client relations positions. She found herself interested in working for Visiting Angels because she is passionate about connecting people with the support and care they need. It was through personal experiences and encounters with family members in need of caregiving support that she found her true calling. She is dedicated to fostering collaborative relationships within our community and forging partnerships that enhance the accessibility and quality of caregiving support.
KATIE - Schedule Supervisor Katie has twenty-five years experience in the healthcare Industry. She started her career as a Direct Services Provider, caring for adults with developmental disabilities. Throughout her career, Katie held the following positions: Direct Support Professional, Lead Staff and Program Manager for large community homes. Katie was also an active member of the Safety Committee. She came to Visiting Angels as a Care Scheduler in 2019 and was promoted to Care Scheduler Supervisor in 2020. “I plan to continue to achieve the goals I set for myself. I enjoy assisting in building strong relationships between the clients and their caregivers.”
SARA A. - Care Scheduler Sara has 8 years experience working in healthcare. Sara began working in the mental health field in a psychiatric hospital as a Mental Health Technician and then as the Admissions Coordinator. She began her career at Visiting Angels in April 2021. My goal is to build strong relationships with both clients and caregivers to ensure the best quality care. Sara is married with two wonderful daughters.
KAYLEIGH - Care Scheduler Kayleigh has been working in Mental Health for 7 years in various positions including case management. Kayleigh earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Bloomsburg University and is currently working toward her Masters in Social Work from Widener University. Kayleigh joined Visiting Angels in 2023. “My goal is to contribute compassion and empathy to our clients to ensure they receive the best care possible”. Kayleigh is married and is a proud cat-mom.
SARA K. - Care Scheduler Sara graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Justice, she worked in her field for 4 years. She is married and has two beautiful children and is a proud dog mom. For Sara the switch from the Criminal Justice System to Healthcare system. Sara Joined Visiting Angel's to help families find the best care for their loved ones and with the help of our amazing team to “Make a Difference” in the lives of our caregivers, clients and their families!
DONNA - Case Manager Donna graduated with a Bachelor’s of Social work from Marywood University. Throughout her career, Donna has worked as a medical social worker/discharge planner, outpatient therapist, Enrollment Broker at Maximus, and Senior Supports Coordinator. Donna’s goal at Visiting Angels is to provide excellent case management to all our clients, as well as, to ensure the client is receiving the quality care they have come to expect from Visiting Angels.
KATELYN - Recruitment and Retention Coordinator Katelyn is a recent Bloomsburg University graduate with her bachelors in Accounting and Criminal Justice. Katelyn completed a summer internship with Visiting Angels and is excited to return. She enjoys helping people and Making a Difference. She is excited to help Make a Difference in our caregivers' lives.
