Home Care in Belcamp
Belcamp, also referred to as Riverside, is conveniently located and provides quick access to the surrounding areas and the resources. The Belcamp/Riverside area is home to great outdoor activities from walking to fishing and of course photography with all the beautiful nature that is present. Our Visiting Angels Caregivers can assist your loved one in enjoying some level of outdoor activity in a safe manner and truly enjoyable way.
Along with the convenient highway system comes access to the surrounding healthcare infrastructure within Harford County.
There are several resources for Seniors in Belcamp and nearby. The access to services will only increase with the expected opening of the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health at Aberdeen, in February 2024. This facility will feature the only acute care Stroke center. Those who have been through a stroke benefit greatly and may need additional care after being discharged from the facility and at home. This is where Visiting Angels can really be of service. We can assist in making a smoother transition for our Seniors into a home care setting.
Within Belcamp is Active Day of Harford. Active Day provides daytime services for Seniors in a safe and stimulating environment. There are medical services available if necessary. This daytime service is often paired with overnight care for clients that may need full-time care.
Another great resource is the Harford County Library Aberdeen branch. Many resources for Seniors and Caregivers and Veterans have been brought to this library and their online portal. One such resource listed on their website is the Harford G.A.I.N. This is the Harford Geriatric Assistance and Information Network, which is comprised of individuals, agencies and businesses that provide products and services for seniors within Harford County. G.A.I.N. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. In addition to being a venue for networking and education, G.A.I.N provides real benefits to the senior citizens we seek to serve. Each year, G.A.I.N. organizes several events designed to benefit seniors within our community. These events include the Annual Harford County Caregivers Conference as well as fundraising events. Through fundraising efforts, G.A.I.N. has made significant financial contributions to the Harford County Senior Emergency Fund, Family & Children Services and Harford Community College.
Alongside the medical center are numerous options for assisted living and rehabilitation with such organizations as Brightview, Lorien, and Sterling Care playing a large role in the area in supporting Seniors needs.
There are also many places for Seniors to live and many services that are either present in Belcamp, or easily accessible.
