Activities for Aging Workshop - March 28, 2015

Visiting Angels, R.O.S. Therapy Systems, Alzheimer’s Assocation, and NCCAP, the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals, announce an “Activities for Aging” educational workshop for family caregivers, social workers, nurses, professional caregivers, activity professionals and all those who care for and/or work with the senior population.

Sessions will be held on Saturday, March 28th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at 50 Kingsmill Road in Williamsburg. Morning sessions are $30, afternoons are $30. ($60 for both sessions which includes lunch). The complete workshop with all six sessions are worth 6 CEUs. Courses are approved by NCCAP.

• Activities 101 – the Basics
• Activities 101 for the Visually and Cognitively Impaired
• Dementia – Communicating and Motivating
• Dementia – Working with Behaviors
• Social Assessment and Planning for Success
• Home Safety and Organization
