We Accept VA Benefits To Cover In-Home Care Services
Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible for VA health benefits after service. While everyone’s benefits packages differ based on various factors, most will include long-term care. These benefits can be used to pay for personal and companion care services that help Veterans continue to age at home where they’re most comfortable.
Visiting Angels of Wilkes-Barre, PA, has been approved by the VA as an authorized provider within their Community Care Network. This means that the Veterans Administration (VA) has reviewed us and considers us a legitimate agency capable of delivering quality in-home care services.
The two VA benefits programs that we support are the Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care program and the VA Aid and Attendance benefits program. Both of these programs are offered based on eligibility factors determined by the VA.
Homemaker / Home Health Aide Care is used when personal care is needed to help support a Veteran’s decision to age in place. This benefit program covers a wide variety of home care and personal tasks necessary for safe and comfortable daily living.
Additionally, Veterans may qualify for Aid and Attendance benefits, which are added to their monthly pension if they receive one. Since Visiting Angels Wilkes-Barre is a VA-approved provider of in-home care services, we are authorized to accept Aid and Attendance benefits.
