Types of Senior Home Care

At Visiting Angels, we take a comprehensive approach to senior care, offering a variety of services to support seniors in their home. Home can be an assisted living community, their own private home, a 55+ community, or even a loved one's home. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we provide a range of services that are tailored to fit each person's individual needs to ensure they get the right level of assistance. 

• Alzheimer's Care
  Our Alzheimer's care services are designed to improve the quality of life for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease. Caregivers are trained to assist with situations unique to those living with the disease. They also assist with medication reminders, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, walking, and transportation.

• Companion Care
Our companion care offers assistance to seniors with their activities of daily living. We will help your loved one with tasks like running errands, preparing meals, light housekeeping, transportation, medication reminders and a friendly face they can count on.

• Dementia Care
  Dementia care offers specialized care to seniors who are living with different forms of dementia. In-Home caregivers can monitor your loved one and help keep them safe at home. Through extensive training in dementia care using Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care as well as the Virtual Dementia Tour, our caregivers are prepared to assist with a variety of situations and challenges that may arise.
• End of Life Care
  Caregivers provide compassionate support to seniors and their families during the end-of-life transition, ensuring comfort and dignity in their final moments. We work closely with your hospice agency to ensure everyone is getting the assistance they need and feel supported during this difficult time. 
• OVERNIGHT CARE
  For seniors who need assistance or peace of mind throughout the night, our caregivers provide awake overnight care. This type of care makes sure your loved one has support with mobility, medication reminders, and a reassuring presence during the nighttime hours.

• PARKINSON'S DISEASE CARE
  We are proud to be part of the Community Partners in Parkinson's Care program through the Parkinson's Foundation. Our caregivers are extensively trained in preventing falls and alleviating frustrations caused by muscle stiffness and tremors linked to Parkinson's Disease. We are dedicated to providing ongoing support as the disease advances and are always ready to adapt our care services according to the individual's evolving needs.
• Personal Care
  Personal care helps seniors with more complex care needs. If your loved one would be unable to live independently without help, personal care could be the right choice. We assist seniors with mobility challenges by helping with walking, transferring, toileting, bathing, and dressing.
• TRansitional care
  Transitional care from Visiting Angels provides senior with a smooth transition home after a stay in the hospital, TCU or rehab. We will assist with various tasks after discharge such as medication reminders, walking assistance, fall prevention, meal preparation, transportation and more.
• VETERANS CARE
  Visiting Angels caregivers provide assistance with ADLs, offering companionship and personal care with respect and compassion. We are available to assist veterans with accessing their VA benefits and honored to provide home care services to those who have served our country. 
• WELLNESS MANAGEMENT
  The goal of our Wellness Management Program is to help seniors maintain their independence at home while offering peace of mind to families. We provide consistent health monitoring and professional support from experienced nurses - each visit includes a vital sign check, medication set-up, and communication with the senior's care team as needed.
