Home Care in Cedar Grove, WI

With the help of Visiting Angels caregivers, Cedar Grove seniors can continue to live safely in the comfort of their homes. Visiting Angels is a locally owned and operated home care agency dedicated to the well-being of seniors in our community. To keep seniors safe and families stress-free, we provide at-home care services to assist clients with non-medical tasks.

At-home care services with Visiting Angels

The needs of each senior in Cedar Grove may vary, so we offer different services, each of which is customizable to meet each client’s needs. All care services happen at home by trained, compassionate, dedicated, and hard-working caregivers.

  • Companion care is our most basic form of care, helping seniors with everyday tasks like laundry, cooking, and housekeeping.
  • Personal care includes the same services as companion care but with the addition of mobility assistance, personal grooming, toileting, and showering.
  • Respite care is a temporary service that relieves family caregivers of their caregiving duties while on vacation, on work trips, or whenever they need a break.
  • Palliative care provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support for clients with chronic conditions.
  • Ready-Set-Go Home care is transitional care to help clients safely return home after a hospital stay and reduce the risk of readmission.
  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s care helps seniors with all forms of dementia age safely at home.
  • Social care focuses on getting seniors comfortable with the ever-changing technology so they can effectively communicate with loved ones through texts, emails, and social media.
  • End-of-life care is for seniors entering their final stages of life who want a caregiver to provide physical, spiritual, or emotional support.

Living in Cedar Grove

Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, is home to roughly 2,000 residents nestled in the Town of Holland in Sheboygan County. This beautiful and safe community offers plenty of activities and events for seniors and their loved ones to enjoy throughout the year.

Village Museums

Cedar Grove is home to two fascinating museums on Main Street: the TeRonde House Museum and the HET Museum. The TeRonde house is a furnished home from 1875 with authentic furniture from the 1920s and 30s. The HET Museum showcases Dutch memorabilia and commercial artifacts from those who settled in Cedar Grove from Amsterdam.

Both museums are open the second Sunday of the month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Whether you need a ride or want someone to accompany you on your day trip, caregivers with Visiting Angels are happy to join.

Annual Events

Cedar Grove is a village that loves to celebrate and host events for its residents, and the caregivers at Visiting Angels love accompanying their clients for fun. Each year, you can browse the village bulletin board for meetings and gatherings, but the locals know these four events are what you should be looking forward to all year:

  • Cedar Grove Village-Wide Rummage Sale and Brat Fry- Participate in a community-wide rummage sale and shop for discounted goods while enjoying Wisconsin’s finest brats.
  • Hollandfest- Celebrate the Dutch history of Cedar Grove at this family-friendly, alcohol-free summer festival. You can enjoy food, music, games, shows, raffles, and shopping.
  • Christmas Village Market- Start your holiday festivities on the first Thursday in December at the annual Christmas Village Market. This family-friendly event includes food, holiday buys, decorations, and more.

Public Library

The Cedar Grove Public Library has tons of resources for the citizens of Cedar Grove. Visiting Angels caregivers are happy to transport clients to the library to use the computer, check out books, or attend an event. Our caregivers can also assist clients in getting a library card or using the library website. The online library website is also great for finding useful community links for upcoming events and news.

Local Restaurants

There’s nothing better than supporting a local business while enjoying delicious food. Thankfully, Cedar Grove has many great places to try new cuisines. Our caregivers are always happy to accompany clients on a dining date, assist in placing a delivery, or pick up an order.

One popular local restaurant is Mary’s Country Grove Restaurant, where you can enjoy everything from BBQ pulled pork sandwiches to Salisbury steak dinners, freshly baked cookies, and homemade pies.

Another local favorite is Bada Bing Pizza. While they’re known for their delicious specialty pizza, you can also find tasty sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. They also have vegan pizza with gluten-free crust for those with dietary restrictions.

Visiting Angels is proud to offer at-home care services to seniors in Cedar Grove. Call us at 920-221-1000 to schedule a complimentary consultation.
