Home Care in Hingham, WI

Aging in Hingham, Wisconsin, may come with challenges, but that doesn’t mean you can’t safely age in place. Whether you’re looking for someone to help you with household chores like laundry and vacuuming, or you need more hands-on assistance with personal grooming or mobility, Visiting Angels could be the solution you’re looking for.

At-home care services with Visiting Angels

As a locally owned and operated home care agency, we care about our community's seniors and want residents to continue living in their homes as they age. But we also want to ensure our seniors are safe, which is why we offer various at-home care services performed by professionally trained caregivers.

  • Companion care: Seniors seeking assistance with daily activities or household chores may consider companion care. Companionship is one of the primary components of companion care, but caregivers also help with light housekeeping, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparations, and other daily tasks.
  • Personal care: Seniors who want help with household tasks but also need hands-on assistance may want to consider our personal care services. Personal care includes the same services as companion care, but caregivers can also help with showering, mobility, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
  • Respite care: Family caregivers deserve a break, but finding someone to step up and help care for an aging loved one is difficult. That’s where respite care can help. Respite care is a temporary care service to relieve family caregivers so they can relax, recharge, and return to their loved ones, ready to provide the best quality care.
  • Palliative care: Living with a chronic condition doesn’t mean seniors can’t live a quality life. Our palliative care is a specialized approach to supporting clients with chronic conditions by helping them manage their physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
  • Ready-Set-Go Home care: Hospital readmissions are high for seniors for various reasons. Our Ready-Set-Go Home program helps seniors transition home after a hospital stay to reduce their chances of getting readmitted. Caregivers can assist with managing aftercare instructions, transporting clients to follow-up appointments, completing household chores, and providing medication reminders.
  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s care: Dementia is a complicated condition that can cause seniors to have trouble caring for themselves. Caregivers providing dementia care services work with clients with all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s, to ensure they’re safe and comfortable at home.
  • End-of-Life care: Seniors entering the final stages of life may want to consider our End-of-Life care services. Caregivers providing this service focus on making clients as comfortable as possible while also supporting clients’ families during this difficult time.

Living in Hingham

Hingham is an unincorporated residential area within the town of Lima, Wisconsin. It’s home to less than a thousand people, but there’s still plenty for seniors and their caregivers to explore and enjoy.

Hingham Park and Community Center

The Hingham Athletic Association owns and operates the Hingham Park and Community Center. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise. You can walk around the park, utilize one of the baseball fields, or enjoy a picnic. On Tuesday nights during the summer, caregivers love accompanying clients to watch the town’s Men’s Fast Pitch Softball League. The post also hosts various events and festivals, such as the annual Memorial Day and Labor Day fries.

Hingham Church

Social interactions are essential for seniors, and one way to interact with more people is through church services and community events. The Hingham Church offers in-person worship and live-stream services throughout the week that you can view on the church’s YouTube channel. Outside of religious services, the church hosts community events open to the public, regardless of faith. You can view upcoming events on the church’s website

Caregivers are happy to provide transportation to services and events. They can also help clients find and watch services on YouTube.

Historic Hingham Facebook Page

It can be difficult to keep up with everything that’s happening in town, but an easy way to ensure you don’t miss your favorite annual events is by following the Historic Hingham Facebook page. This page shares upcoming town events, and it is also a great resource for sales at local establishments and fun facts about Hingham to help you get to know your residence better. And if you don’t have a Facebook or need help navigating it, our caregivers are happy to help!

Don’t hesitate to call Visiting Angels at 920-221-1000 to learn how our at-home care services can work for you.
