Home Care in Newton, WI

Visiting Angels is a locally owned and operated homecare agency dedicated to helping the seniors of Newton, Wisconsin, live safe and independent lives at home. We have a compassionate and reliable team of caregivers who can help clients with various nonmedical tasks to improve their independence and comfort as they age.

At-home care services with Visiting Angels

Every client is different, with a unique set of needs. To ensure we’re helping all clients live their highest quality of life, we’ve designed our caregiving services to be customizable to meet the differing needs of each client.

  • Companion care is primarily for clients who need limited assistance caring for themselves. They can still move, shower, and eat independently, but they could use help with housekeeping, transportation, or medication reminders. Many clients who request companion care also enjoy the company of their caregivers and simply want someone to spend time with them.
  • Personal care includes everything a client receives in companion care with the addition of hands-on assistance. Hands-on assistance would include mobility, grooming, showering, dressing, and toileting.
  • Respite care is a temporary service that relieves family caregivers of their duties so they can vacation, travel, relax, and recharge.
  • Palliative care provides physical and emotional assistance to clients with chronic conditions like heart disease or cancer. The goal of palliative care is to relieve physical discomfort and emotional distress.
  • Ready-Set-Go Home care is a transitional care program to help clients return home after a hospital stay. The ultimate goal of transitional care is to reduce our clients' risk of hospital readmissions by ensuring they receive the proper follow-up care.
  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s care is a specialized service to help clients with all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s, to live independently.
  • Social care helps clients connect with loved ones through email, texting, and social media. The goal is to help clients feel less alone or isolated, especially those who don’t have loved ones living locally.
  • End-of-Life care provides physical and emotional comfort to clients and their families as they enter their final life stages. End-of-Life care is not hospice, but caregivers can work alongside a hospice team to ensure clients receive the support they need.

Living in Newton

Named after Sergeant Jasper Newton, a South Carolina Revolutionary War hero, Netwon, Wisconsin, is a quaint agricultural town in Manitowoc County. This bustling community, filled with manufacturing and farming within the beauty of Wisconsin's farmland, continues to grow into a quality residential neighborhood for seniors and families.

Newtown Community Park

Our caregivers want to ensure clients spend time outdoors, enjoy their community, and explore outside their homes. One of our caregivers' favorite spots to spend time with clients is the Newton Community Park. It’s a nice area to walk in and has a playground for seniors to enjoy with their grandchildren. The park also has a rental area for outdoor parties and gatherings, which caregivers can help set up if a client is planning an event.

St. Thomas and the Apostle Church

St. Thomas and the Apostle is a Catholic church with standard religious gatherings. However, this church, like many places of worship, is also a wonderful place to connect with your community. In addition to religious services, St. Thomas hosts various events open to the entire community, such as support groups for cancer and addiction. Regardless of your religious affiliation, our caregivers are happy to provide transportation to your place of worship.

Newtown First Responders

Unfortunately, the older one gets, the higher their chance of needing pre-hospital medical attention. Thankfully, Newtown First Responders are available to all Netwon residents for emergency and non-emergency needs.

Newton First Responders has provided pre-hospital care for more than 35 years. Any Newton resident who needs pre-hospital care, emergency or non-emergency, has access to the services of the Newton First Responders, 24 hours a day, at no cost.

Community Events

Getting involved with the community is a great way for seniors to combat feelings of loneliness and social isolation. Caregivers are happy to provide transportation and accompany clients to any Newton community event, whether a town meeting, festival, or fundraiser. You can find all upcoming events on the town’s online calendar.
